Me too, yet on the later north to south leg, some did well on the more central route on the small paths along the steep hillside. I'm sure WorldofO have all the legs analysed for the geeks by tomorrow.

Yes, the best routes were way off the line. 12-13 Alan Cherry went North and it turned out quite good , went he strated the leg I was like " where is he going "
Hector went for the fell running option and was slower, think if he had got that right and not messed up that one late on ( fatigue maybe) he could have got in the top 10

A very good live site indeed. Although, I wouldn't say it was the best organisation. Athletes could freely access the live site and see the radio controls, what control they were placed at, and how far round the course that was.
For both relays this had significant implications. Athletes in the MSR knew they had a long leg to 4, and a long-ish leg to 5, without any gaffling. In the forest relay, the men knew they had a 1.6km leg back to the arena with no gaffling.
Great live site, but information like that should only go online once the athletes are in quarantine. Something for future event organisers to learn.

Re: European Orienteering Championships
I see recordings of the broadcasts of the championship races are appearing on YouTube.
For example the Sprint Relay (92 minutes)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ehlSlARFUc
which I think well conveys the excitement of the arena and shows the testing nature of the courses. The GPS, as is often the case with sprint races, does go haywire in places.
