IOF Eventor
I've just had an email from 'eventor' saying they were attacked by ransom-ware at the weekend, and only had a back up from 4 days before the attack. I registered and entered WM2018 last Friday and all my details have now disappeared! Check yours!

Sounds like events are being more than bit slack!
Hope the ransomware lot haven't got hold of any card details...

I hope card details are only held by the card processing service privider and not eventor itself.

We entered on 28th October and my details are all still there, including the WMOC2018 events we have entered.

Re: IOF Eventor
Just heard from the IOF about this issue ...
IOF Office wrote:The system got infected with malware (not related to the upgrade) and the solution was to read back the databases from before the upgrade and 4 days of data were lost. We are working with reconstructed the entries and the affected WMOC athletes are informed to make sure entries and payments are correct.
We have also informed all Member Federations and all future Events (Event directors) to redo their changes to Events during the affected 4 days period.
If anyone have problems with their entry related to the database problems, contact eventor@orienteering.org.

Re: IOF Eventor
Any chance of eventor being hacked again? The whole episode suggests a slightly slap-dash approach to internet security.

Re: IOF Eventor
I re-registered and re-entered, and sent my original payment receipt to avoid paying twice! I have now received confirmation that payment has been received . . .
