Sylvester 5 days
I am thinking of attending this event in Belgium this Christmas. I have never orienteered abroad before and wondered if anyone had any tips on booking accommodation and getting to events. Is there any hope of getting to events without having a car?

I have been for 3 of the past 4 years. It is a nice friendly event, not hard to get to from the South East at all, the orienteering is perfect for blowing away the christmas cobwebs and the assembly for each day is indoors, usually a sports hall with showers and always serving soup / hot drinks / beer / cake. We have stayed here every time:

which is a Belgian version of Centre Parcs with the most ridiculously indoor play area for the kids and have never had more than a 1 hour drive to the events which are in the same part of Belgium every time. I'd recommend.
