I'm guessing there has been a change behind the scenes at some point in the last few months but I've got to say that the news items being posted on the site are a thousand times better and more frequent.
Look at the latest news page now - https://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/news/3938
Write up and review of the OMM - Tim Morgan?
Membership renewal (boring but needed)
Orienteering at University - Alex Lines
Well done to everyone who is providing content and getting the articles published (Jenny Taylor at British Orienteering?)
I saw a comment on another thread that asked why there was a piece on the OMM published rather than on all the other orienteering going on that weekend. I expect the answer is that Tim sent his piece in... Looking back there is a nice piece on the upcoming Southern Champs. What a shame there was no write up on the results. I'm sure if there had been it would have been posted.
Only niggle is how do you get a list of older items - seems like there is a 'More News' button missing from the bottom of the latest news page. (it is there on the home screen)

Re: British Orienteering News
I'm speculating here, but this may be a benefit of ending Focus, giving Jennie more time to focus on 'digital marketing' - ie the website, Facebook etc. Jennie has contacted my club to ask for an article for the news feed.

The Southern Champs were only yesterday! Give me a chance - I've been up at hospital with my husband in London all day and JUST got home! A report will go up as soon as possible.

Tatty, please take your time. Family comes first. Hope Hubby is doing OK.
If the report was to do with WOC/JWOC/Governance issues then I'd be pushing to see quick turnarounds (because we have (semi) professionals for this).
But the November Classic - Our sport relies on volunteers for such input. If we see a report at all it should be viewed as a bonus.

At the bottom of the list of latest news items on RHS of BO's home page there's a "News archive" button. The results are filterable.

Re: British Orienteering News
Great pieces from last weekend. Lots of other news to.
If we are going to have multiple articles per week (which is great) we should probably also have a longer list of latest news items (or at least when you click on one of the latest news item you can see more items under there to look at). This isn't meant as a moan only a suggestion as how something the looks to be pretty good could be improved!
