The organiser had done his best to make sure seeds were identifiable:

So it appears that Lawrence was not seeded as he has a 4-digit number. Top 10 were seeded; he is now number 10 on M45 ranking (last weekend not yet included), but presumably wasn't when the start list was drawn up.
I guess safest with this system would be to have no other competitors starting in the 20 minute seed-start period.
