Just did a final check of the area by running the yellow courses... the White Rose maps use the new standard (and have a full legend) and I think parents need to tell their offspring on white and yellow courses that the wide ride on the map can now be a variety of colours. It looks on the map as though a course that follows a double veg boundary filled with white through white forest would be tricky; but these wide rides are just as grassy and clear on the ground as they were when they were yellow on the map! But the canopy of very mature trees (as mature as they ever get in North Yorkshire) really does meet high overhead so I guess they are in forest. For other courses we have rides of slow run through run forest, rides with undergrowth when the forest has none, and the traditional open rides - all useful bits of information of course.
I do think the forest with scattered thickets symbol is a bit ugly though.
Those who did the wonderful Scottish 6 days will find the area rather on the flat side I fear... and we have only one crag (which I have of course taped).
I'm suffering from serious O withdrawal but the next few months look exciting (from Milton Keynes to Aviemore).

I didn't think the "forest with scattered thickets" symbol had made it to the final version.

It didn't.
There's a variation on 'rough open with scattered trees' which allows green dots, instead of white, for "bushes/thickets".

Whoops! Good job it's only on the legend... could become a collectors item.

Maps were fine as ISOM 2017, although some of forest run was a little slower than that for us oldies. I like the thinner form lines but not sure about the new overpowering purple out of bounds cross hatch - much prefer the previous lines.
