Re: JWOC
Maprunner JWOC page is up - it won't be as detailed as for WOC (as neither me nor Simon are in Finland) but I will try and collate as much GB stuff as possible and provide the relevant links etc.

Re: JWOC
I was speaking with a couple of ex Finnish superstars on the ferry from Tallinn on Saturday and they said watch out for the Finns on home forests. THey have strong juniors just now & good predictions for the future elite team

Their planners have been generous for Middle Qualification - not exactly vintage Tampere terrain or courses just yet - should suit the non-scandies. Oli Ojahano showing good form already though.
To oblivion and beyond....

He had a very decent run in the WOC middle a few days ago - Per seemed pretty excited about this guy

Fins on top though and some finding it harder than it looks. Top 20 from each qualifier go through to the final. Great to see Grace bouncing back from a disappointing EYOC and Sasha and Alex going well. Still a few more to run - nervous times for some of the Brits.

What possible value could there be in running a high quality event in technical terrain? It's not as if it cost anything to get out there...

Re: JWOC
No sign of Ali Masson gps either.
It is madness to spend all that money, receive all the grants from clubs and associations, to send the athletes and then not let them race to gain experience.
I repeat my EYOC post that until ALL the coaches at the top of the Talent program change then the policy of not selecting full teams and only partial racing will continue.
Such a waste . . .
Well . . . may have to eat my words very quickly as Matt Fellbaum's gps trace has started, although Alice Rigby's hasn't. There can't be that many injuries to athletes can there?
Be interesting to find out what has been said . . .
