I thought that coverage of WOC on the British Orienteering site was pretty good this year. With that and Simon Errington's blog, and perhaps the odd dip into attackpoint, it gave us more info from a British perspective than the inevitably factual IOF live feed.
What I really liked though was the odd article on the GB teams blog. It would have been great to have more.
Looking to future WOCs and World Cups is there a way to bring some of these things together to reach a wider orienteering audience? How about the odd pre / post race interview?

Re: WOC reporting
Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the British Orienteering reports that Simon and I wrote, we hope they were informative and interesting, and for our use of Twitter and Facebook (a new experience for Simon!).
In terms of interviews, that was something we were planning on doing but we never really got our act together - more down to us than the athletes, they were all happy to speak to us (thanks for that btw). Interviews are definitely the next thing Maprunner will try to include. This year I was given quotes from various team members after their runs that I either included in the BOF report, or in my own personal blog (depending on what time I received them).
In terms of future events, my plan is try and cover as much of the GB team as possible. I have set up the JWOC page that will be updated with results/maps/gps/whatever I can find - My plan is run similar pages for the World Games, and for the World Cup rounds. Old pages will be left up as an archive of Maprunner GB coverage.
In terms of WOC, Simon and I both plan to attend in Latvia next year, so hopefully we can provide more coverage of that for you all.
