Re: WOC Relay
Can't watch, Alan is having a mare, a huge miss at 1 and again at 5. not on his own the swiss and thw russians also messed up 1. Very close forkings and low visibilty. Those who ran yesterday will be presumably more in tune with the areA.
first control causing more proble4ms, denmark now dropped off leading pack. France leading from lith, with swe and nor not far behind.

Come on guys , need to catch USA and NZ.
solo run for GG, be interesting to see how he copes with the area as he didn't run yesterday, very exoerienced of course.

Ditto (doing own VAT return instead- just slightly less painful!)johnrobinson wrote:Can't watch
I hope someone is at the finish to give Alan a hug. At least he's pulled back some time on a string of teams for GG to hopefully chase down.

Re: WOC Relay
GG going well through the tricky first two realed in usa , Nz and a load of others, in a different class . It looks like Alans 1st was initially just a small miss to the W maybe a visibility problem, then couldn't pin his position.

Can't see he's pulled back any time back on anyone (not according to live results times)

The teams immediately ahead when he finished, compared to the time gaps at control 9.denbydale wrote:Can't see he's pulled back any time back on anyone (not according to live results times)

Re: WOC Relay
Alan seemed very unlucky at !, most of the group seemd to have a different gaffle , he missed small and then he was on his own in a vague area. My private nightmare. Could have been so different, after his second miss, again in a messy area, he seemed to be being more cautious ( not suprising ) and hence slowed off.
Could have been so different , but thats orienteering....soooo frustrating.

Re: WOC Relay
Denbydale..... GG is running as fast as the leaders - hence not losing time overall, but pulling through teams who aren't travelling as well.
ie - he's doing his job. Very well.
