Masterclass from Tove Alexandersson today. Tero wasn't too bad either.

Thierry - the King is back!
What a star, aimed for WOC middle, ignored everything else and won it with a clean run. He isn't as fast as many of the guys but he NAILS THE TECHNICAL SIDE and that is what wins him World Champs.

Re: WOC Middle
Middle race pictures now up.
Apologies to Jo Shepherd for only having one of her back as she finishes. I completely missed her on the first run-through, and then she snuck in unannounced just behind Tove and Hollie when I wasn't paying attention.
No apologies for having so many of Thierry. 14 gold medals, including 8 middle races, is just unbelievable, and everybody in the crowd recognised it. This was his last WOC individual race, but I don't think anybody would be upset if France managed to grab a relay medal tomorrow with Thierry on the last leg in his last WOC race.

Wise words indeed. True for the women too with a similar masterclass from Tove that Hollie and Jo were able to learn from first hand.
Also interesting to see how straight the leaders were running despite the tough terrain with detours usually only to simplify the navigation.
GB athletes can certainly run as fast as the leaders, but can we match their tactics and skills in the relay. Go GB!
To oblivion and beyond....

Can't watch, Alan is having a mare, a huge miss at 1 and again at 5. not on his own the swiss and thw russians also meesed up 1. Very close forkings and low visibilty. Those who ran yesterday will be presumably more in tune with the areA.
