Well done to those selected, certainly does look alike a younger team in places but there have been some excellent performances building up to the selections.
Unlucky to those that have missed out this year! Keep working at it for 2018!!

Maybe not medals but supporters of O-Team GB can be delighted that two of them feature in the Nydalens team that won the 15-leg relay near Oslo yesterday.
See photo at http://www.kondis.no/nydalen-vant-15-stafetten.6000109.html
The guys will be in action later this week in World Cup Round 1, which I think we may be able to see on internet TV.
Alan was in the orienteering news some weeks back too, for a fine win in a Norwegian Cup race. See http://www.orientering.no/nyheter/herlig-med-en-seier/

A Finnish article (there is a picture) relating the GB WOC Selection.

I'm loving some of Google's efforts at translating it...
Google Translate wrote:The British Travel Association has released a team for the Estonian World Championships.
At the same time with the Finns, just over a week ago, the British team selected the team as Swiss as well in time to allow athletes to prepare for the races. A year ago Britain did not manage to reach the medal, but on many occasions it was close.
In southern Estonia, the biggest medalists in Britain are on sprint trips.
Especially in men's sprint Kristian Jones has his own real medals. Last year in Sweden, Jones was sprint fourth and the same result The British team also ended up in a sprint message where Jones took third.
At the grassroots level, Graham Gristwood represents Kaleva Rastia. Gristwood is named for a long journey.

I see Cat Taylor writes on Attackpoint that she will take a break after this WOC, and it is possible it is her last one.
Firstly, thankyou Cat.
Secondly, there is definitely no case of this being one too many. Cat is yet young and her first leg run in the Mixed Relay in Turku last week was excellent, a key part of the eventual third place. So we trust she will be in good shape for going well in Estonia, where she runs Mixed Relay, Middle and perhaps the Forest Relay. She had a great run at TioMila too; maybe that augurs well.
Incidentally the IOF have a great photo from the relay - desktop wallpaper size! -

The orienteering gods did not favour Cat last year. 2015 was good though. There were tremendous 5th and 6th places in the home World Champs forest races in August 2015, and they were followed by winning a World Cup Middle Race in October.
Cat also writes a very smart blog. I think this article looking back on six years in Uppsala is exceptional writing http://cattaylor.net/news/six-years
