According to the SOA website the Scottish Champs are coming up on Gullane Dunes on 20th May, hosted by ESOC.
According to the ESOC website, which usefully has a Scottish Champs page:
https://www.esoc.org.uk/scottish-championships
"The Scottish Championships were held last weekend in the tough physical forests of Auchingarrich and Mill of Fortune."
So I went to the ESOC fixtures page:
Date Event name (select to view) Near Type
Wed 10 May Hillend Park Edinburgh Local-(D)
Sat 17 Jun Bonaly Park Edinburgh Local-(D)
Does ESOC know it's hosting the Scottish Champs in less than 3 weeks' time?!
Finally, I went back to the SOA page and dug around some more, and found a link here:

Re: Scottish Championships 2017
Like the British Champs there's a dedicated webpage on the national website:
http://www.scottish-orienteering.org/ch ... ships-2017
If you manage to find the website you might manage to find the event
Hope to see you there (you need to get one back on Jon X

Yep, but it would be helpful if the BO fixtures page did more than just send you to ESOC, where there is nothing.

Yep again, but hopefully only 4 days to wait for that...

... which reminds me, since the AGM (after which I'm no longer a BO director) I should update my Nopesport signature...

Re: Scottish Championships 2017
I can't speak for ESOC, but I expect moaning on nopesport will get it sorted asap ...
The Scottish Champs is hosted by the East of Scotland Orienteering Association, not by ESOC. ESOC are the lead club. Unfortunately, the BOFocracy means that ESOA can't register the event ourselves.
Anyway, this year is handily placed for Edinburgh and we're using a sanddune area at Gullane and Archerfield which is much more runnable than typical Scottish fare. Mike Stewart, our planner, was responsible for the 2015 SOL at Craig a Barns, possibly the best example of long distance course planning ever. Relay is at Binning Wood where I've wanted to plan a relay for the last 25 years. Friday night has an urban on the Streets of Tranent, quality tricky Scottish housing scheme.
And it's an unrivalled place for a spot of golf, if you like that sort of thing. Although you might struggle to get a tee time at Muirfield where the race starts, or Archerfield where the assembly is...

Re: Scottish Championships 2017
Relay entries close today for what is traditionally the biggest relay of the year, with over 100 teams in the mass start in 2016. Hoping the enthusiasm of the head-to-head race at BRC will carry over, the Scottish will be faster going and with much less climb.
We need a bit more time than the individuals to sort out the gaffling and printing. At the moment, we only need to know which maps to print, you can add competitor details later.
Relay has all mod cons. SIAC, ISOM2017.
Format allows pretty much any group of three people to enter: age/family/club or none of the above. If you're coming up from England, build yourself an alliance to take on the Scots - we won't take it personally (unless you win).

SRC rules wrote:Alliances of neighbouring clubs may enter teams at the competition convenor’s discretion. The spirit of this is to allow as many people as possible to take part, not to encourage the formation of especially strong teams...
Typically, two neighbouring clubs will be allowed to compete as an “alliance” if one or both have insufficient competitors at the event to make a full team. The concept of “neighbouring” will be interpreted flexibly for particularly far-travelled clubs...

No jury since its not a level A. Disputes will be handled by the planner, the coordinator, a grade 1 controller and the person who wrote the rules

No, because
a) the equipment isn't going to fail.
and
b) if it did, they wouldn't be disqualified in the first place.
