Well it looks like your dad has beaten Oli's dad and I suspect they are both well ahead of my dad... I'm afraid my grapevine didn't stretch beyond the senior Elite results.

Re: JK 2017
I'm not sure of the demand for "Live" results from these sorts of mass participation events, compared to something like WOC. With large start windows the final result might not be know for hours. So sitting there refreshing the page every few minutes to see the next few finishers is not very exciting.
I wonder if the biggest customers for the service are those that ran early, had a good run, left the assembly field early and are now wondering if anyone has beaten them yet.
I think the key bit is to get the potentially final results up as soon as possible. Maybe before everyone has finished (if there are a few late stragglers). You can always update them if there is a protest.
What might be more useful to those sitting at home wondering how their club mates are getting on is an option where you could show results filtered by club. Going through all the age classes one at a time looking for individuals is a slow process.

Paul - I was thinking exactly the same thing.
Tedious trying to find results for club mates - needs a filter

Good idea Paul. I had to check sientries to see what classes people were in and then browse the various classes.
We've just set up a trial where someone is nobbled at being event reporter for every significant event the club has runners in. The aim is to get a report on the club web site asap after each event which is why it's great when results appear quickly.

Have a look at the o-ringen live results system, it's amazing.

And exactly what I was thinking yesterday when trying to find info to put on our club FB page. Gave up in the end, published a link and said 'well done everyone'!

Re: JK 2017
It's not only results, but also entry lists - whether by team captains looking for potential relay entrants; club mates looking to share transport / accommodation, or for start times; organisers looking for potential club helpers etc.
I've got so used to events using Fabian - which is good - that I had forgotten how poor SI Entries is for this aspect.

You can filter SiEntries by club - you have to log in and then use the filter facility on the left below your own details.

Re: JK 2017
For anyone trying to get the relay results and getting an error for some of the classes, change the apostrophe in the URL to: %27
e.g. Women's Trophy: http://www.sportident.co.uk/results/201 ... elay3.html

Can you do this for results as well as entries? I can't find where to log in on the main sportident website.

I've always done that to narrow it down a bit, but find it doesn't bring up a convenient list of club members - just any entry containing the letters I put in for the abbreviated club name.
ps, I don't recall needing to be logged in

Thanks to all the officials and volunteers this weekend, I really enjoyed both races I did (middle, relay). I particularly enjoyed the planning, mapping and the weather
