Results are on the EOC site now. All the girls except Jo are through (Helen scraped in in 17th). Hannah and Heather were best placed in 6th and 7th respectively. Oh, and Simone N-L went round a minute faster than anyone else!
Unfortunately none of the lads got through. Dan missed out by a second, Nick B by 5 sec. The rest were well down. Palmer didn't start (ill?).
So mixed news then. Hope the girls can do the biz this evening.

Long & middle qualifiers were medium-hilly (by Danish standards!)
Middle final was significantly flatter (spring cup terrain)
Sprint is urban
Long final is a bit of an odd 'un - it's a fairly hilly coastal area (on top of some cliffs), with a fair bit of macro contour detail
Relays are I think back to the medium-hilly
Overall I'd say everyone in the team is more focussed on WOC (technical Swedish terrain) than EOC (easier Danish terrain), so any good results are a bit of a bonus rather than the culmination of a long period of training, etc.

The sprint qually was around the grounds of a hospital, which was all fun and games until the control the other side of the uncrossable marsh. We were swimming through an eggy bog - not much fun. Then at the second last control we were forced to take a swim through a river. The sprint final was a lot drier, but was preety tricky. I stuffed up pretty much every control, but all of the other girls were pretty pleased with themselves. Jo made up for a poor qually but kicking ass in the B final. Dan and Jon did not fancy the b final, and Steve has a cold. Nick kicked ass in the mens b final. Looking forward to the classic tomorrow which is in a uniquely hilly forest in the far south of Zeland. Heather and I are all ill still, but Dan and Helen are fine. Looking forward to some good results - Jamie and Heather should do well if their quallys are anything to go by.

Pippa, your comment does not go unnoticed! I was impressed by both results and the Norweigen was also impressive over classic distance. I was out in the archipeligo but kept updated by text messages!
By the way are you not registered? I wanted to PM you that! Hope write up is going well.
