I fancied going to Prague Easter 2017 because my son is out there for the year. The website doesn't have any maps of where exactly the venues are but I presumed they were very near Prague. I was surprised to see that the venues are about 80km north of Prague.
Why not just call it Czech Republic Easter event?
It's like having the Edinburgh big weekend venues all in Perth.

Re: Prague 2017
Best areas are a bit away from Prague. More like running in glorious clean forests in upper Deeside if you were staying in Aberdeen rather than grotty spruce areas nearer the city.

Yes, you'll enjoy the sandstone areas which are quite something. Its all marketing - Anyone fancy the 50th anniversary Prague spring in 2018?

Re: Prague 2017
I was only planning to go for a long weekend though, and mainly wanting to visit Prague and Duncan fitting in a bit of orienteering, not travel miles and have to hire a car. I'm sure the woods are nice but a nearer grotty wood or urban event would have suited me better this time. May do the JK instead.

Re: Prague 2017
My nephew is turning in to his school's orienteering superstar though and will be doing the JK so I may join my brother and family at my dad's (Surrey) and go along. It's a bit spread out this year so it will be a weekend with lots of driving , but at least driving on the correct side of the road...
