Sunny today in New Plymouth (North Island) but very heavy rain (and more flooding) are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday as Cyclone Cook comes in. Looks OK for the first day of Oceania on Friday in Auckland however ... and thereafter with a bit of luck.
Cyclone Debbie was pretty spectacular last week and we drove from Wellington to Napier in the worst of it, just managing to keep the campervan on the road in the gale force winds.
It's not all bad however as we've had predominantly good weather over the last three weeks, having a peach of a day doing the Tongariro Crossing on Saturday and bumping into the Hardings and the Godfrees, also limbering up for WMOC.
And, yes, we did bring our wellies
WMOC and the WMG
