Might be true in the short term. Not convinced about the long term. One of the reasons IOF are pushing sprint / sprint relay disciplines is to attract new countries (who aren't blessed with natural temperate forest terrain) in order to fulfil their Olympic ambitions. In 20 years time at forest WOCs I think we will still be competing largely against the existing 40 or so (mainly European) nations. But if IOF are really successful, then for sprint WOCs we could feasibly be competing against 100 nations - and Africa could take all the medals!
