Grea tIOF commentary [/sarcasm]
Ukranian called Russian, Czech called Czechoslovakian...
Quite noticeable that neither of them know who anyone is.
When I did the commentary I practiced everyone's last name. And this guy is meant to be a professional.

Oh that was tense - Great run from Kris Jones for 4th in the sprint final. For a moment it looked like all the other contenders for bronze were going to blow up in the last 500m but Hubmann kept the head.
Solid performances from Ralph in 17th and Hoddy in 22nd too.

Not injured according to the BOF report.
"Charlotte Ward did not start the sprint final. Charlotte’s main aim for this World Championship is the Mixed Sprint Relay and so her goals for the individual race were all about getting ready to race tomorrow. As a result of achieving these goals, in the qualifier, a team decision was taken that she would not start in the final and, instead, save her legs for the mixed sprint relay tomorrow."

Great IOF commentary [/sarcasm]
Didn't they have the same team last year for the TV coverage on BBC Alba. It seems to be intended for non-orienteers, with explanation of the sport and the pecularities of the sprint discipline mixed with commentary on the race. No fun. No excitement. They don't appear to be emotionally invested - not the way Per Forsberg is, for example. I think the best word for it would be disengaged.
Camera positions and editorial decisions were less than optimal as well. Surprising for a WOC in Sweden. The coverage of a sprint race should be frenetic in its attempt to bring you the key developments as they happen, to stay on top of the race, and the commentators should be frustrated when the director misses something.
Like Graeme, I paid more attention to the GPS. (TBF, commentary based on the GPS might have been more exciting!)

Not obvious to me, wasn't just edged, crossed it at 90 degrees in the centre.
Anyway great run by Chris and promising start by Cath, just that little bobble at 6 pushed her back otherwise would have been very exiting for 3rd
