Re: World University Orienteering Championships
Charlotte 6 secs down leg 1, Peter 5 secs up on leg 2, then Kris broke the speed limit somewhere coming back 1:09 in the lead with Megan coming back 50 secs in the lead (that Cze girl was good), but Megan kept an incredible cool head to bring home the gold.

As the saying goes it' s one thing being a good team on paper, it's quite another delivering the result.

Not helped by the dodgy GPS that made it look like they were making a mistake every other leg.

Re: World University Orienteering Championships
It seems almost everyone is losing time somewhere. A lot of tricky legs in the green on curving contours.

Don't be surprised that we're not so strong in the forest. We're getting better and we have a few solid individuals but we have some way to go here. We are generally better at the relays, mind.

The forest relays have started this morning. The women started at 9.00 BST and the men are off at 10.30. Megan leading at the first radio control running for a mixed team , she led at JWOC as well. I think she might be making a point, yet again!

Megan made a mistake and has clawed her way back from 18th to 10th!

Lucy having started 9th appears to have run much of her leg alone is now in a loose grouping of three or four, three minutes down on the first two. Nail biting stuff with GPS on the last leg!

Seems to be Charlotte versus the Russian for 3rd as they head out. I think gps won't appear online until 10.30am if I understand correctly. Go Charlotte!

GPS now up, it looks as though the Russian has made a mistake on 4, the Swiss are not far behind them and gaffling distance differences to come on control 7.

It looks like the Swedish B team has been pulled at the run through and Charlotte is now on her own in 3rd for the final loop.
