Can anyone tell me why the results from this event do not appear on the BOF results page.
I have tried contacting EBOR but get no response.

I've heard from several different sources what the issue is - I think it's time we got some resolution. The message on the EBOR website has changed from "splits to follow" to "splits not available".

I think one or two of the splits might have been very revealing!

That still doesn't stop the results & ranking points going up on the BOF results page, does it?

Well done to Ebor - it looks like some pretty obvious 'dubious' split times have been used to disqualify transgressors. For me, it was the onlooker who said 'Do you really need to run through the flower beds?' that gave it away.

Maybe nobody can find the splits referred to? (it took me ages)

I assume the relevant control was number 97. That's the one that seems to have lots of unusually fast split times to it, and also some quite fast split times from it.
Pity it's not up on Routegadget so that we can see what people are talking about...

Map is here http://www.ebor.routegadget.co.uk/kartat/148.jpg and I suspect the issue was in the park in SE corner

Punching through the fence wouldn't have meant running over any flowers. I guess it was squeezing between the fences to approach from the SW (80m from last control, across some olive green), rather than running around the court to approach from the North (180m).

Re: York urban race
Assuming that the site is inside the NW-facing corner, it looks inaccessible. The fences touch to the SW, and the oh-so-thin gap to the north has a definite tinge of olive green to it. As well as having some unhelpful double tags crossing it.
Looks like a prime candidate for displacing the fenced rectangle to widen the gaps so that the gaps and the colours are visible, and reversing the double tags on the outer fence (or removing them for this section, i.e. using a wall rather than a fence symbol).

Re: York urban race
Gosh am I the only person on nopesport who actually visited the control site? Roger if you zoom in on my rather fuzzy iphone photo you will see there is a tiny strip of yellow running between the two fences just above the olive green. I think the flower bed comment is a bit of a red herring.
As I went to 6 I noted that no control was visible on the gate side of the fence and worked out that the only route choice was right round the court. I didn't stop to examine the outside of the fence but there was a lot of foliage on the inside of it. I don't know if they punched through this or found a gap to squeeze through. Either way I'm not sure how anyone could have construed it as a legitimate route choice. The fence is marked as uncrossable and the control was on the inside of it. What other possible interpretation is there?
I'm very pleased EBOR have bitten the bullet even if it ends up biting me on the bottom one day !
