No comments for at least an hour so the selectors must have got it right!

Only one person from Edinburgh! are we all past it? and no place for the ex-INT BOC champion either (Q: who was the last W21E BOC champion to miss out on WOC)
But congratulations to all selected, especially the first-timers with their impeccable Edinburgh connections
Biassed? moi?

Only one person from Edinburgh!
Well, given the populations of Edinburgh and the UK and taking into account the team size, I calculate there to be a 1 in 10 chance of a team member being from Edinburgh.
Definitely punching above Edinburgh's weight to get as many as one member

I make it Heather Monro. She retired after WOC 2005 in Japan, and won BOC at Woolbeding in 2006.
If anyone wants to try to work out the men's answer you can start from:
British Championships winners
British appearances at WOC

Looking at the map of embargoed areas it seems the area for the long and relay (Strömstad East) is right against the EU border. I wonder if there's a big fence?
