Shameless plug alert. Entries are open for AIRE's Dales Town and Country Weekend on 25 & 26 June.
Midsummer weekend in the Yorkshire Dales - what could be better?
Don't mention the Harvester
Urban event in and around Settle and Giggleswick.
Cross-country event at Yockenthwaite, mostly runnable fell with views of Upper Wharfedale, Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent, Fountains Fell, Buckden Pike...
Guaranteed not to have 'real weather' like the Sept 2013 event, and not to have an apocalyptic white-out like JK Day 3 at Kilnsey.
This guarantee is completely worthless, having no legal, moral or practical value.

Ode to Yockenthwaite 2013
Hail and gale! The course will be slow.
"Good luck and mind how you go",
Said the sopping wet planner
Stood by the start banner,
"On top you'll have wind, fog and snow."

Yes. Some lovely free camping on Cleeve Hill for the Harvester Relay that night. "Award Winning Beers" on sale and quiz night being organised. Well done to NGOC for making a great effort.
All only 4hrs drive from Yockenthwaite.......
Or if you don't fancy that....a couple of other relays in the vicinity on the Saturday afternoon and Sunday Morning, to make a great weekend's orienteering
