Has anyone tried Lock-laces, and if so, are they any good? As the laces themselves are elastic, I'm not sure they would hold a shoe firmly enough for orienteering.

I use them in the running shoes I use for triathlons and they are great, but I wouldn't trust them for orienteering. There are too many times when mud or undergrowth might pull them off.

Thanks, Paul. I thought that might be the case, but it's nice to hear from someone who uses them for tri - must make transition a bit less stressful.
