so, I'm off to the O-Ringen for my first time at the end of this week, any tips for a succesful holiday from those who've been before?
I think this is somewhere else but I can't be bothered to find it!

Well Helen dear, It's about the toilets - you just have to remember it's the same for everyone I understand in the old days they were not only communal but mixed but perhaps that's just people trying to shock me.

Ha ha ha - no I meant there was a whole field of women lying around naked - the actual shower bit resembled a medieval gallows - am not aware of being prudish - If i am then so must Brooner be - just warning the girl what to expect that's all

It's very big, there's lots of lost people who want to know where you are and will steal your map off you at controls to relocate (as well as lots of not lost people going very fast), only vertical rock is marked (there's usually plenty of non-vertical rock around just to confuse you), there are run in lanes for particular age groups all with sponsors - make sure you run in down the right one (the sponsor is on your number just in case you are so knack'd you need to check at the run in), as it's your first time, don't expect to win on day one - take it steady and get used to the map and terrain and improve through the week, and finally, enjoy it - it's an experience.
