GPS lost him, and live results DSQ'd him, but neither are correct. He's in ahead of GG, so it'll be 11th. (Unless Milos Nykodym sneaks ahead of him - his GPS blob hasn't moved for 20 minutes...)

Re: European Champs
fantastic route choice leg at the end, thought GG took a brave option, thought it might work for him but he seemed to lose it at the end. of the leg.

Re: European Champs
The 11th control seems to have cost most of the women time. North appears to have been quicker.

Re: European Champs
The (men's) route choices in the final seem a lot easier than those in the qualifying - there aren't really a lot of options except perhaps for the last one. In the qualifying my head was hurting by the end!

Top quality results from the Russian women (5 in top 14). Must have been training hard this past winter.

Anybody else getting site insecure messages when trying to connect to the British orienteering site?

Yes I get a "Your connection is not private" message in Chrome. Anyone know what the problem is?

Re: European Champs
Middle qualification today, 750 - 975 meters above sea level.
Full complement of 12 GBR runners, with Cat, Hector and Matt on the list for GPS.
Starts at 2pm our time, 3 starters per minute alternately men and women, and Jonny is in the group on the first minute.

Looks like a couple of good GB results in the tempO final. The first cluster must have been tricky.

Medals were won and lost on that first cluster, where amongst the favourites both Marit Wiksell & Lennart Wahlgren crashed and burned and on the final spectator controls where Martin Fredholm came to grief.
The winner, Pavel Kurfurst( CZE) has been performing well all week (he was the only person in the TrailO Relay to get the final spectator controls all correct) and the home supporters were delighted with his win.

Nick & Tom gained the highest placings yet for GB in the TempO competition.
With some of their regular team members involved this year as organisers or planners, the Czechs have a 13-year old in their team who came 3rd in Heat A of the TempO qualifier and 12th in the final. Look out for Daniel Locker in the PreO competition later this week.

I assume there are butterfly loops or similar to mix up each set of three runners? Could get messy!

It's same as sprint and long: in each group of three, one is running heat A, one heat B, one heat C.
