So a new season is upon us, and the CSC Heats will be happening across the country this coming weekend. Any predictions?
In the Scottish heat I think it will be a close run thing between the hosts FVO and MAROC in the Cup competition, will home advantage work in FVO's favour? Dumyat is a really physical area but if any other club is used to tough steep areas it's MAROC. Should be a great race with over 400 entries!

Re: Compass Sport Cup 2016
The Yorkshire heat has been postponed due to a waterlogged parking field. The area had originally been considered for Day 2 of the JK but was discounted because there was not sufficient suitable parking.
I predict it will be difficult to find a mutually acceptable date to reschedule.

Re: Compass Sport Cup 2016
So for the Scottish heat of the CSC it looks like if FVO win, then another club also qualifies as FVO won the final last year. COuld be tight though. Maroc have a strong team light on numbbers. ESOC have a big team but a bit light on youth.

Re: Compass Sport Cup 2016
And in the CST, since there are more than 8 entries it looks like top three will qualify but again if INT qualify another team should also go through.
INT BL RR ECKO and CLYDE all have numerically strong squads, with CLYDE mobilising something like 2/3 of their membership, but three or four other clubs have enough counters if good enough. INT probably look favourites even though they are missing one or two top names, as they've still got a bit of strength in depth.
I fancy INT, CLYDE then RR with maybe ECKO to edge BL for 4th spot.

East Anglian heat has also been postponed, until 8 May, because of waterlogged ground.

I think the eventual decider was that the proposed assembly field was waterlogged at the time of inspection with little alternative.
The proposed parking for the CSC was different to that proposed for the JK, as the CSC is, of course, a smaller event.

I had to share this with you but, please note, it is NOT (repeat NOT) the final result.

If by normal you mean the results saying one thing and the website another...

Re: Compass Sport Cup 2016
Out of interest (and because it doesn't specifically say it in the rules) what did organising clubs do if someone on a CSC course missed their pre-allocated start time?? As you are supposed to have a timed start (as per section 3.5.3 of the rules) did you give people new start times at the start or set them off in a "gap" and they just took ages to get to #1. Thoughts/experiences please as we had some discussion around this for the Scotland Heat.
