Change of venue for Day 4
The organisers have recently lost the open limestone area of Pen Rhiw Wen as the venue for Day 4 of Croeso 2016 so have had to find an alternative. Fortunately the terrain used for JK 2014 Day 3, Mynydd Llangynidr, is available and this is now confirmed as the more than adequate replacement.

Being one of the planners from JK2014 Day 3, I'm very happy to revisit the area I've spent many hours checking many pits and depressions!

Croeso 2016 entries close this week on Thursday June 30th and may be made via Fabian4. The entry fee rises after this date and entries can only be made thereafter subject to map availability.
Nearly 1400 orienteers have so far taken up Welsh Orienteering's invitation to compete in Croeso 2016, five days of orienteering in beautiful South Wales on some of the finest terrain in Britain! The competition takes place between the 24th and 29th July.
See the Croeso entries page for full details of how to enter.

Results via the website seem to be incomplete. Am I missing something - a different link perhaps?

Re: Croeso 2016
No, I've been looking at the live results during the afternoon because my nephew is competing and they don't show all the classes. I think when they update every half hour they only show classes that have had new results in that time or something weird like that as sometimes his class was listed and sometimes it wasn't. It seemed very random which classes were there and which weren't and varied with each 30 minute update.
I presume the real results when they go up will be complete.

They were incomplete earlier, but now all classes appear to be there.

No, they're still incomplete (e.g. no W65S).
Fabian4 are being paid good money for this "service" ...

Just for the record..... whilst there are aspects of the services being lead by Fabian 4 - e.g. the Online Entries and sorting the start list for which they are being paid. There are others which Adrian and his team are doing on a totally voluntary basis.
I have no doubt that even as I write there are volunteers trying to sort things things such as the splits and RG.

Re: Croeso 2016
I now understand that the volunteer sorting the results had a puncture on the way home, hence the delay.

All results seem to be there now and another volunteer is working hard to get RouteGadget up and running. I believe it's almost ready now.
Interesting that no comments have been about the terrain, planning etc so far

Thanks David.
I thought the terrain was as good as advertised, the map was very good, and so was the course planning (I ran course 3). The weather was crap, but that wasn't the Organiser's fault!
Looking forward to Day 2 now...
