The YBT final is today at Nottingham University.
I presume it will be an urban / sprint type race, has this format been used for the YBT before?

Thanks to NOC for a great YBT final, the format for the children seemed really good we had a few who had not done an urban before and they all enjoyed it.

Great event - thanks NOC! And many congratulations to Devon - interested to hear the secret of your success?
SYO brought a very young team and for many the YBT was their first taste of orienteering outside of Sheffield.
Junior orienteering is really buzzing at the moment in South Yorkshire with 250 regularly turning up to to the informal park events, 50 odd attending monthly club technique training sessions and well over 500 kids must have competed in the heats and finals of the South Yorkshire Schools Games. Club competitions like YBT are an excellent next step up the ladder for those that want to progress.
Meanwhile at the other end of the junior pyramid a not so young Aidan Smith goes for gold at the Junior World Champs later today in Norway.
Shame that BO are going down the Xplorer route and are no longer supporting club initiatives.
