Misconfigured SI stations at the Orienteering World Cup
The sprint race at the World Cup in Orienteering, held in Lysekil, Sweden on June 6, has been annulled due to technical problems. The BSF 7 stations used in the race were not configured correctly, resulting in inconsistent contactless punching behaviour from control to control. This led to poor race conditions for the athletes. The misconfiguration of the stations was one contributing factor for the race eventually being declared void.
