If anyone entered day 3 and couldn't run and wants their map if you message me on here or email me I'll post it if given your address (before 1/7/15 as we may then give them to folk for training).
I also have the unclaimed elite maps from day 1 and 2.

Surprised nobody mentioned the Dave Prentice memorial control. A nice touch, on a classic piece of Dave's inimitable forest improvement handiwork.

Re: Schiehallion Weekend 19-21 Jun
The plan came up as soon as I took over the planning.
When I first got a map I looked at that area and only the NE route was open, and I thought that it seemed like the sort of connection that he would open up, so I intended to check it out and perhaps use it. A bit later I got the map that he was in the process of updating and the SW route was marked, and when I came there I could see the branches he had cut - it had to be there.
I didn't include that control in the elite courses (though looking at RouteGadget some of them ran past it) as it was perhaps getting a bit crowded there and I expected fewer of them would have known Dave. All other courses (except white and yellow) went past.
The controller did question why some many courses went past an orange control but did not object once explained.
