Plus if anyone thinks they will have some spare time over the weekend Tay and fvo could use extra helpers

Re: Schiehallion Weekend 19-21 Jun
We will probably expand the start times to accommodate the number of runners and maintain a decent start interval, especially on the black and brown courses. Good thing it is the longest day of the year!

Dunalastair: Bracken is shooting up but most only have 2 leaves so far. Ticks still there. Water levels down but wet bits still wet. Annoying cuckoo still there. Buzzards still upset. Planner has found mobile phone reception hotspot at control 181.

And, seeing the travel tips on the sprint thread, leave plenty of time for the drive between Pitlochry and SOL5/6. It is a narrow winding road, and there are lots of those:

Map of the event area. Note campervans go a different way but hopefully campervan owners have emailed me and been told that already

I can also now confirm that the green blob just to the N of the route to the start can be used as a warmup area.
The estate manager confirmed today that the field next to it (which is only separated by a patchy wall) will have sheep in it rather than killer attack cows.
The attached sign will be placed on the route to the start. Read "sheep" for "cattle".

PS this is just a bit of forest to run around in, no stakes or anything.

Fabulous weekend in beautiful Perthshire. Who arranged the weather? Glad the event was not up here
Dunalastair just gets better every time it's used.

Great weekend and at last a chance to run at Dunalastair after helping organise JK2012. Landowner Rose de Sales la Terrier has been really helpful and she mentioned to me that she was happy for international squads to come back and train for WOC should they so wish. Thanks to those at the campsite who helped on Saturday evening http://www.scottish-orienteering.org/so ... g-trestles and to FVO for providing a meal to Steve and I when we discovered there was a scarcity of local eating establishments.

Re: Schiehallion Weekend 19-21 June found property
I have a pair of INOV8 x talon trainers that were left in the parking field and a Silva thumb compass that was found at the start (surprised that wasn't missed!) Contact me if you want them. Angela (organiser)
