The British University College Sports (formally BUSA, formally BUSF) championship is being hosted by EUOC this weekend.
Individual races on Saturday at Devilla.

Relays on Sunday at Barr Wood
Start lists yet to be unveiled but looking at the FB event there's representatives from lots of universities. Last year there were 7 full teams - (at least 3 guys, 3 girls, and a relay team for each - a few year back I recall there only being 3 or 4).
From the rumour mill, a couple of big names missing. Individuals and relays looking pretty open. Team competition should be between the 2 usual suspects, but I think other universities will have a big say in the destination of the overall title.
Last year's winners:
Men's A - Dave Schorah (Hallam) - defends
Women's A - Charlotte Watson (EUOC) - defends
Men's Relay - ShUOC
Women's relay - EUOC
Beer Race - EUOC
Overall - ShUOC

Re: BUCS 2015
February being early season, people are at different stages of their prep. There are some injuries in varying stages of recovery and what looks like some Attackpoint Sandbagging!
Kris Jones (Loughborough), who would Men's favourite, is on a training camp in Spain so does not race. (ShUOC also miss Jo(s)e Woodley to the same training camp). Tess Hill (EUOC) is not racing.
Dare say I've missed people on the start list that should be in this brief run-down of contenders:
Men's A race contenders.
Dave Schorah (Hallam) defends his title but is coming off injury.
Last year's top 10 returners: Jonny Crickmore (ShUOC), Willy Gardner (ShUOC), Chris Galloway (EUOC), Tim Gomarsall (Dundee), Aidan Smith (OUOC), Jonny Malley (Newcastle), Peter Bray (UDOC) and Matt Elkington (ShUOC)
'Big-name' freshers include Alex Chepelin (EUOC), Adam Potter (ShUOC), Will RIgg (Heriot-Watt) and Ciaran Allen (ShUOC)
Other names to watch out for: Olly Williams (ShUOC), Mark Purkis (EUOC), Jamie Parkinson (OUOC, Southern Champ), Tom Fellbaum (Salford)
Women's A race contenders.
Charlotte Watson (EUOC) defend her title.
Last year's top-10 returners: Lucy Butt (UDOC), Jo Shepherd (EUOC), Aine McCann (UDOC), Alison Campbell (Heriot-Watt), Tamsin Moran (ShUOC) and Jet Orr (EUOC)
Other 'Big Names' to watch out for include Zoe Harding (EUOC, top seed), Julie Emmerson (UDOC), Katie Reynolds (EUOC), Rhona McMillan (ShUOC), Charlotte Ward (ShUOC).
summat like that anyway.

Re: BUCS 2015
Is BUCS for undergraduates only or can postgraduates run also (thinking next year when I might be a postgrad again!). What about those on gap years or a year from Uni on placement?

Re: BUCS 2015
many thanks to EUOC for a cracking weekend, especially Kristian and Heather who organised.
John - afaik if you're registered at the Uni in September of the academic year you're OK, so placement years are fine, but probably not gap years.

Re: BUCS 2015
Here are some pictures from an inclement Barr Wood. Not very conducive for photography, but I did my best. Please feel free to use any photos from yesterday or today but acknowledge the photographer please. If you wish higher resolution copies; pm me here, or leave a comment on the Picassa gallery. Cheers, Crawford.
