Re: JK2015
Does anyone have a spare bed for my friend Alex Jospe in their accommodation for the JK? She's an American orienteer coming over for some pre WOC practice and she's great - excellent cook too!
While we're on topic, is there any training happening early in the week after the JK she could join in with?
Please e mail me at becky dot carlyle at gmail dot com if you can help, as it's probably over a year since I last read Nope!
Thanks!

Re: JK2015
Becks - there isn't any training available the week after the JK as far as I am aware but there is mention on the WOC website of training camp 3 taking place immediately after the JK.
See http://www.woc2015.org/info/training-areas
I'm sure that others on the forum here will be able to give you more information about that.
There will be training in the week before the JK plus an event - will be putting details up on the website very shortly.

Re: JK2015
WOC training camp will take place in Deeside the week after JK, however some (possibly all) controls will be out a week before JK. Still sorting areas (capercaillie and other bird issues at that time of year) - check WoC site for more details.

Thanks Jon, i will keep an eye on WOC website but would be grateful if you could keep me posted as I am getting queries from national squads about JK and it would be helpful to have the most up to date info from you. Just zap to enquiries2015@thejk.org.uk

Re: JK2015
Deadline tomorrow.
Two things I'd like to know before entering. I'm posting here in case its public domain and I missed it, though I don't see answers on the website.
1/ Are there World Ranking Events? (JK is not listed on IOF site)
2/ What is the map scale? (specifically, is it the same for M21 and M50?)
I'm trying to collect experience on elite races, but there's no point entering if I won't be able to read the map.

Re: JK2015
Graeme - you haven't missed the information anywhere else.
We are still waiting to hear re WRE status. It turned out that was an administrative hiccup in the system. We haven't heard anything to the contrary but that is why it isn't listed on the IOF site yet. We are, as you might imagine, proceeding on the basis that we will be successful.
The maps scales are as follows:
21E is 1:10000 on Day 2 and 1:15000 on Day 3
21L is 1:10000 on both days
50 is 1:7500 on both days.
I'll get the map scale information up on the website and post the link here later today.
