Ouch. I guess at £3 a day for parking they are promoting car sharing more than ever... why are the prices not included in our entry?

so we don't all log on to nopesport to complain about high entry fees?

They have therefore increased the entries fees and then used slight of hand to try and make it look like you have not.

I'm going to use a bike to make it look like you/they/we haven't raised fees.

And they've increased entry in a really really unfair way.
If you are in your car on your own then the entry fee is increased by £3
If you have five people in the car the entry fee is only increased by 60p
ffs
If you could run forever ......

Brilliantly put Graeme! Yes, just who do "they/you/us" think they are?! I'm disgusted that all these freeloading cyclists, walkers and public transport users are getting away without subsidising the rest of us car users again this time. Someone should complain

Car parking was included in the 2013 fees.
In 2015 the car parking is not included and charged separately.
In this case the fees have increased and the above statement is a slight of hand.
As someone above says, the increase is not equal and will depend upon how many you have in your car, for our family it is 50p each.
I'm not saying it is right or wrong, I just object to people (they, you, me, whoever) treating you/me like idiots and making claims which are not really correct.

haha fair point...
I think the entries are pricey enough (my opinion and I'm sticking with it) and now I've got to find even more money to park. I'll still pay it though as I'm not sure what days the whole family will come and I ain't missing out!

Re: Highland 2015 - Scottish 6 Days
Sorry to butt in and spoil everyone's fun, but this is just to say that Kirsteen (S6D publicity) has asked me to take on the Scottish 6 Days Facebook page (helped by a small band of other SOA folk). In a weak moment I agreed.
It's my intention to keep a steady stream of reasonably regular posts intended to create some positive vibes about the event, and ideally provoke a few shares, likes and comments which will really help spread the message.
If you're a Facebook user, please like the page, and consider using the facility whereby you can invite your own Facebook friends to like the page too. Please don't invite people who won't care less though - that can be counter-productive. I'm particularly keen to get overseas followers so if you're someone who has some foreign orienteering Facebook friends you could be particularly useful!
By the way, it costs £3 to park at Caley Thistle games and takes even longer to get out of the car park than it does at the S6D (and it can be just as wet and and just as muddy). Fortunately he standard of football these days is as good as the standard of event that you get at the Scottish 6 Days so nobody seems to mind.

Slightly higher entry fee for icy tea too. But does the 6-day still offer a 90 minute classic?

Depends how generous you're feeling Graeme (on 21st Jan anyway). http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/1403-press-release-ticketing-promotions I should be getting commission for this.

The parking fee for all 7 days is £15.00, ie £2.14 per day (or £2.50 if you exclude the rest day). £3.00 is the on the day parking fee.

The fee also includes parking for WOC races (as a spectator) so is even lower per "day"
