JK > A long long time ago in what seems like another life I ran a fair few Park World Tour races, including one of the first ones in the middle of the 90's where we started on top of a supermarket, it was great fun, but it could never match the feeling of running full speed through a technical forest with the perfect picture of the terrain in your head so the flow through the controls is just autopilot. Its not 'belittling' its just My opinion of what is the great thing and most challenging thing about the sport.

Lets agree to agree that we respect the technique more of those successful in the forest disciplines, but agree to disagree on the respect for the achievement of a medal in any discipline.
As a sport it would also be good if we spread the good word about SprintO since I strongly suspect it'll be the format more likely to be included in the Olympics (if it ever gets there, I reckon SkiO has a stronger chance). Of course I suspect that those that dislike Sprint/Urban, at least at top level rather than fun local level, are probably the ones that wouldn't want O "tainted" by the commercialism of the Olympics!
