SI-Droid Event Android app to create results from SI cards
I have just discovered this Android app on the Google Play store which reads SI cards and processes results and shows splits. It requires an SI Masterstation and a cheap On-the-Go cable. Downloaded my card from today to my cheapo tablet and phone. It has course checking and can read courses from an IOF file (from Purple Pen or Ocad) or generate them from a card if the runner has visited the correct controls. It can look up owner details from various sources, including an edited version of the SI Card Archive. It can also generate html & IOF xml result files and share them. Looks ideal for small events and running the SI Master doesn't seem to take much power, so it should run for a few hours. All data is stored to an internal database. No printing though; perhaps that will come later. Full version costs £3 and there is a free Lite trial version. It seems to have been produced by a guy in Sweden. Only showing 10+ downloads. I think it deserves a wider audience. Usual disclaimers.
