The Queen left Balmoral today after her 2 month hols so this afternoon we were finally able to get back in for a last meeting with the estate before completing the final details.

Re: Race the Castles
That's great. I was thinking more in terms of the races starting in 2 and a half days though. I know there's not been much plugging of them so they may have been forgotten but I think Graeme mentioned something.

At proof of concept stage I planned a course at Xmas for some local British champions .
They'd found the best route by July.
In our defence the map was the wrong scale and only half drawn at that point...
Final details for Friday night should be on the website soon.

Re: Race the Castles
Start times are up for the first weekend races in Edinburgh and Stirling, some pretty early starts on the sprint courses. Folk will be finished their course before they realise they are hungover after the ceilidh!

Re: Race the Castles
In case you didn't spot them already final details for Friday night are on the website (as well as Sat & Sun which got up before us.) There have been some minor tweaks since they first went up.

It was pretty gloomy just after 6 o'clock tonight and the forecast is for light showers tomorrow evening so I would expect similar again then. Bring a torch!

Re: Race the Castles
Another great day of urban racing. Nicely planned and a slickly organised day of racing which I am sure looked good to all the tourists looking on from Princes St. Well done guys.

Re: Race the Castles
I've enjoyed both days despite a poor performance yesterday and struggling to find the assembly today. I looked at the diagram and was convinced it was the bit of Princes St Gardens next to Waverley and then got confused by all the o flags by the temp o in that area and wondered where everyone was hiding!
