So what orienteering interest do we have in the CGs?
I suspect ex GB Squad member and now Triathlon coach Jack Maitland will be there coaching the Yorkshire (sorry English) triathletes.
Some of the older Southern Scots amongst you may remember my sister Scottish Junior HI member Margaret Kewley (CUNOC as it was then) - her daughter Nicole Burns will be taking part in the Artistic Gymnastics for the IoM, so give her a cheer if you get the chance!

Didn't Emma Pooley (road cycling) used to be an orienteer while at Uni?

I almost got Hazel Irvine to do Shinty, but didn't manage to get her to do Orienteering although she did attend the odd St Andrews Uni Orienteering Club dinner dance and indulged in a wee bit of Cross Country Dancing.
I wonder if Bill Melville will be doing some Press stuff?

She looked like she had a good strong run from what we saw in Bellahouston park.

She did, although the bronze medal would have been nice (she finished 6th).
She and her training partner (Piper, a short-haired German pointer) went round the training course at Barcaldine for Oban 2011. Does that make her an orienteeer?
