Reading all those comments about Twin Peaks, I thought I'd mention our own Moray Mix.
In my view we had 2 planners that excelled themselves. Dufftown does not look a great bit of urban terrain. However by getting permission to use a good few areas of private land, and by clever planning Steve really made this an interesting area.
As for Lossie - all out challenging is my summary.

Re: Moray Mix weekend
Another enjoyable Moray mix event. Well worth the trip.
I didnt manage to make the Revack Friday night event.
Dufftown course 2 - well planned and good use of an area, which as Eddie suggests doesnt look all that inspuiring to start with. Enjoyed my trips into the woods, even if the second one did involve about a k of dead running (uphill) to get there! Some possibly controversial use of controls very close together leading to a fairly high mp rate - check your codes everyone!
Slightly confused by the use of tapes round the back of control 3. Apparently to distinguish the uncrossable bit of the wall from the crossable bit (which had a couple of bricks as a style once you noticed it.
Lossie short blue - yes challenging and also well planned. You had to keep contact with the map in the dunes, esp the ones with the old brashings. The erroneous path marked at the prestart maybe wasnt the only dodgy one I felt. The flies were absolutely murder - where do they come from!
