Course with the most runners in 2014?

This week's ParkRace (SLOW local evening event at Imperial College) might be a contender for most runners on a single course? 132 competitors There were also 51 independents on both courses. Who needs CATI's?

Seriously, when I started "getting in the top 100" was a target. And running a course with 100+ people (where you see plenty of others) is a very different experience to running on your own. We do still have the numbers of people, but like to break it up into little courses and classes so that newcomers can have the fun of being last.

is a good turnout, but less than many of the JK courses and not quite half the field of this course from 2013 - sometimes being in the top 250 is a target

Hopefully most of those who ran had pre entered, or is there something we can learn from this event. When I put on little events in the past on my own if more than 10 people turned up then registration was busy!

No pre-entries. All enter on night. So if we can't claim the most runners maybe we can claim the most EODs.
Its a pretty slick operation with no paperwork involved. Those with SI cards put it into download box - database identifies them and they say "long course please". For those hiring names get typed in.
