And if you live in the Midlands, EOD available for the SMOC middle distance race at Twywell tomorrow - the most complex orienteering area in East Anglia. Plenty of contour features!

Excellent event, in the sunshine, nice to see such a large entry and some good planning on the Brown, Blue and Short Green courses (daughter, me, wife), at least.

And on a smaller scale, the Twywell middle distance event was a good test of both contour navigation and hill legs - in the nominally flatter east. Thankyou to SMOC and also to our quarrying ancestors.

Re: SN Trophy 10 November
Any idea why the SN results are grouped in a strange way - some people by age class, others by course (even if they were in a certain age class)?
It would be nice to see the full results for each course so you can have a proper comparison without writing times on bits of paper...I know some people are desperate for age classes but here you have neither.

Results on the SN web site allow for viewing against the interland selection classes. You can easily see full results by course from the BO link and/or the splits analyser view.

Although the main presentation is not this way, as MacMan notes, some of the other several ways of looking at the results do give this, simpler, view.
e.g. http://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/index.php?pg=results&eday=61373
I am guessing that how we want results to be shown in this era of colour-coded + age classes hasn't yet settled. Entry can be by colour or age-class (often several on the same colour.) For Sunday the results are presented similarly, with each runner appearing in one list (I think.)
Generally this seems to mean a runner can be in the age-category list, or the colour list (having run the same course as their own category) or another colour list, or another age category list (for their "age" course or another.) On Sunday there was some default to Interland classes, so maybe it wasn't possible to run the right colour for your age without appearing in the age class results, but that isn't always the case.
This can also be addressed by a further set of results, by course number.
I expect the IT people only need the users to decide what they want.
Very nice event by the way, thanks to the Navigators.
