From what i've seen and heard from people the weekend was a sucess,
with all the raz, videos, music, general happy competitive atmosphere that seems to have gone down - i thought id ask about what the juniors/coaches though of the event and if you have any suggestions (if any) to how next year could be improved?
I think this year competitive spirit was improves by the banter on nopesport etc. So well done to the planners, organisers and helpers!
Drew
p.s i put it here rather than juinior forum so that anyone can post.

i thought the relays were really well planned but at the start it took me about 50m to work out where the start was! perhaps back to back maps would have been a good idea. I quite enjoyed running through the spectator area 3 times aswell.

the iraqi shirts were great! and the [nope] beachballs! the fun competitions near the end were good fun too but most of all the relay courses were brilliant, the individual ones nearly as good, shame about the weather tho. thanx for a great weekend guys.

Oh there's no doubting that. But one of the most difficult skill sin a relay is getting yourself sorted at the start and not just legging ti with the pack. If you managed, you deserve a big pat on the back.
Will? We've got proper fire now!

Can't think of anything wrong with the relay, was one of the best i've ever run in. Was hard to see the start on the map but that's all part of the fun...needed some calm controlled all out sprinting! It's a pity there couldn't be commentry on individual day though.
I don't reckon route choice was a problem on the individual, cos its good to have some easy fast running at the end to see who's still running hard..to sort the men from the boys!!
All in all great weekend..pity i didn't get home till half midnight

the reason there was no route choice at the end of the individual - i speculate - was that there was no place to have route choice! the car park being where it was, and has to be due to developements around the area, enforces having either the finish there and dead running towards the end, or a remote finish.
and remote finishes are horrible.
