Just like to thank the organisers and planners for a great event. Near sub-zero temperatures didn't detract from a well run event and a fantastic area and courses. The late change in car park - to a motorway service station with busing - worked well.
Throughly enjoyed the brown course - only 23 controls in 11km is a bit novelty these days - the first leg on the was a surprise at about 1.5km! Thanks again.

I'll second that. Thought the bussing worked really well and the service station made an excellent event centre (no queues for toilets!).
As always, Burnham Beeches was a delight to run in.

Agree with Mikey. Enjoyed having the service station as my daughter-in-law brought our grandson up to see us! Bussing worked very well and was lovely and warm. Pleased as it took less time than advertised that we were able to start early, although I imagine that wasn't possible on the Blue Course. Many thanks HH.

Well run event. Bussing was good, and a warm place to wait before travelling to start. Good course, kept you thinking but my brain was elsewhere today.

Thank you for an excellent event - assembly centre and bussing was excellent and beats using a muddy field any day For once after an orienteering event at this time of the year I don't have to wash and hoover the car
Only problem I am having is trying to put my course on route gadget - short blue - it appears to be the wrong course file

You do what after an orienteering event?

I can't remember the last time I washed or hoovered my car at all...

Sorry, looks like I mapped Short Blue results to the Blue course by mistake. There's no easy way round this, so I have deleted Short Blue from the main Routegadget event and set up a new event which just has the Short Blue course.

Yes excellent event. Great place to run, although I 'lost it' for controls 10,11,12 on the blue course.

Re: HH Event - Burnham Beeches
apropos of comments on planning long legs in well pathed areas the Blue course has a couple of brilliant looking legs - picking out part of the wood with few paths, none going in required direction. Most have required top navigational skills to get the best times. many of the shorter legs where "Middle distance" in style so virtually the whole course would have been an excellent test of orienteering.
