Re: POM
Cat and Doug leading the way again today - Cat 3rd and Doug 12th. That makes them 2nd and 7th overall respectively at this stage with another middle race tomorrow then a chasing start long.

Re: POM
Looking at the POM results for W70 I notice that Lidija Preisagalaviciene won the last day by a country mile (28m 48s) against second placed runner Lindhe Ulla's 40m52s
Ulla won all the other three forest events, two of them by a big margin
Preisagalaviciene's other results
her time and position winner's time
1st race 110.53 (15/17) 39.15
2nd race 80.14 (last) 28.00
3rd race DNS
4th race 54.34 (15/17) 28.41
5th race 75.36 (last) 18.03
Am I being unduly cynical to think some kind of fiddle went on in the last event?

Thanks.
I got another quick response by personal email, which I may as well share since it adds information about events before and after:
Clive wrote:Next year, the program will be the same and the "menu" will be as follows: World Ranking Event / COMOF Cup 2014 (Sátão and Aguiar da Beira, 22nd and 23rd February), Portugal O' Meeting 2014 (Gouveia, 01st to 04th March) and II Alentejo Orienteering Trophy '2014 (Arraiolos and Montemor-o-Novo, 08th and 09th March).

Ian
NAOM 2014 will be on 25-26 Jan (Middle Dist/Night Sprint/Middle Dist)
at Castelo de Vide
Pity there won't be another urban sprint similar to Monsanto - now that was amazing!

How Gueorgiou got round that in 18min 17s beats me

I am sure that even Alistair Wood would enjoy that. Pity that we don't have anything quite like that!
Reckon Brimham Rocks with a suitably enlarged map would be similar, but it wouldn't have a town (and it's not too far from Ali Wood's home!

For those interested here's a link to the map

click on the first one for M21SE then scroll along to find your own age group then click at top left to see it full screen
