Your post is very timely, I used it to check the closing date for my club's own race and discovered it is set on the BOF pages to be 15 days later than entries actually close!
It would be nice if there was an API between Fabian4 (and other major UK entry providers) and BOF, so that entry closing dates did not need to be set in two places - or indeed three places, including the club's own event page.
...but will a subsequent change of closing date flow from BOF to oo_wrong_way's service, and more importantly from oo_wrong_way's service to someone who has already copied the closing date "event" into their own calendar?

Re: Closing date app
The oevents.info service recreates almost 350 orienteering event calendars each week on a Monday evening directly from the BO web pages - so, yes, an updated closing date and all other event updates will make it to the calendar as shown on the site. If you "subscribe" to any of the calendars then they will also be updated as the subscription is a live link. If you copy an event to your own calendar then that will not be updated.
The calendar service is still work in progress but the calendars themselves are live and, as long as BO do not change the format of their web pages, will be kept live and up to date weekly. See more about the calendars and how to use them at http://oevents.info/index.php/subscribe-to-calendars/
If you find any of the oevents.info services useful but the level of info about events is poor then please do encourage your club fixtures secretary to put comprehensive event info on the BO fixture list.
If anyone knows how to get to event closing dates on Fabian4 could they post it here?
Thanks

[MALICIOUS CONTENT DETECTED] Orienteering Events between Monday, 26 May and Thursday, 19 June
The last two mails I've had from oevents.info have been headed similarly to the above, i.e. a mail server has picked them up as being suspect. Is this just my mail server or are others getting the same alarming header?
