Dear All,
My club, OK Ravinen, along with Haninge SOK are organising this prestigious event this year. With 340 teams and 25 in each, it is a bigger race than TioMila.
There has never been a complete British Team run this race. Is it time to re-write history??
We are determined to make the race bigger and better than ever. We will have a large TV screen for the first time,etc. etc.
The relay was the inspiration for the Scottish 11 person relay - only we have 25 people running.
I am prepared to get a free entry if someone rises to the challenge of getting 25 people across for the race (in Southern Stockholm). NB! Look at the rules as you need a mixture of men and women, and ages. Doesn't have to be the same club - maybe a region, or England Select?!?

Leg three to seven compete with four parallel runners. In the team there is a maximum of nine M21-39s and must have seven women, of which one must be W14/W45- and one must be W18/W35-. Combined

yeah we'd be after some families to join the nopesport family, I think there's a middle distance race the following day and if, as the numbers are looking, that we'd be able to organise 2 teams there'd defo be some extra runs going

i'm presuming the colour naming is near enough equivelant to ours?

flights thanks to ryanair at the mo are about £50 return from glasgow and a bit more from london.

for those in contention, it is the same time as Junior European Championships to be held inside the M25 this year. (Dan)

But the venues for the Junior European Champs are very close to Stansted airport - I'd say no more than an hour from landing to Epping Forest and Hatfield Forest (for the relays) is so close you fit young things could probably use it as your warm up run.

The 25 manna is normally well worth the effort of getting there. A great chance to get to know other folk in your club. Don't forget about the short race event on the Sunday. The number of people there means that the competition is stone hard and that there are courses to suit everyone.

I have been looking at 2000 25 Manna maps - for some reason I have a large selection - and the Orange and Red courses are quite a bit harder than that equivalent standard of TD in the UK. That might partly be due to the terrain/area - although this year it is a harder area - although there are quite a few tracks in the near area, however the complexity is more of a hinderance than a help! However, I have not seen the easier courses for 2004. I have pre-run one of the harder courses and you will like that a lot!
The area would be closer to Skavsta rather than Västerås for those flying Ryanair. Probably not much difference flying to Arlanda than Skavsta either. The area is right beside a local train station.
Bargainsomely cheap accomodation can be found at OK Ravinen's clubhouse (if nobody else has booked it. Get a 3 day travel card for 15 quid and that is you transport around the place for the weekend.
Don't forget one of the biggest O social gatherings on Saturday night - the 25Manna Party. Hundreds of Party-O-goers - last year they booked out a sizeable nightclub in town - ask Uwanjoykok - if he can remember.
I can wangle one free team, but not two. Suggest if you get 2 teams, everybody pays half price. However, these teams have to be truely BRITISH! and if you run for OK Tyr or Sävedalens - like Dan - if you run for Nopesport we can disqualify both Nopesports teams and Sävedalens! That is what joining a Swedish club is for - so you run for them!
