Excellent - notice they used a Go Pro. Our film crew in Moray have been kitted out with these as well but I haven't the faintest idea what the story line will be. I am up there in about 10 days time so will find out.

Looks like they copied much of what Johnstone and Harry did in Roseisle [they didn't get a microlight though like I did for the follow up]. Maybe the future of orienteering is a bit more freerunning and parkour?

I wonder if they can all team up next summer. Wee-J could maybe give them tips in use of toasters, swimming technique and how to lob EMIT brikkes accurately.

A good film, but not a patch on Forest Jump. I doubt we've seen anything yet, and I look forward to the Moray 2013 preview.

Just about to look for an O event near Washington next weekend. My flight home today is cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy and I have to survive a whole extra week of election hype. Any Nopers living anywhere near DC with any suggestions?

Forest Jump was published to YouTube on August 24 2012, the KS Filmcrew started filming their videos in December 2011.

And clearly they used a far more extensive range of shots, such as the zip-line, that isn't in the forest jump movie.

And if you think Forest Jump was original in any way whatsoever, there have been dozens of orienteering movies like that over the last 5+ years.

Who cares Mharky? Why the sarcasm? The more folk that come up with stuff like this the better and it doesn't achieve anything when people start picking one off against the other.

As I said, the lot of them ought to get together some time.

I'll happily lend you my camera (or anyone else who's responsbible) if you're offering... I think it's the editing that makes it harder unless you know what you're doing, not so much the actual filming / putting together the idea.

I'm not offering, because I haven't got the first idea about how to do this. I was hoping someone out there did, as I would like to have a movie to promote Sprint/Urban-O in Edinburgh.

Good videos showing some of the excitment of the sport, but where were the girls?
Is this a sport just for young males?
I hope the forthcoming offerings will show girls like to have fun too!

I've only maanged to watch one KS flm so far - I thought it showed good technical film technique but the Moray boys film had a better "story". Both very watchable.

My wife's comment was "Do you think there's a danger people actually think thats what orienteering is like!"
