Re: EUOC Big Weekend 2013
Disappointed that there won't be a traditional SoSOL type event this year.

Nae chance, glad there's not!
I'm just a bit sad they've gone for the chase rather than the sprint relay I suggested

Re: EUOC Big Weekend 2013
I'm looking forward to it - a chasing sprint on the sunday sounds more appealing than a SoSOL blue course to me!
As an aside in my role as SOUL coordinator I've emailed the Big Weekend organisers to ask for a bit more info re the junior courses for the Urban race which are currently described solely as "course F". I've had some feedback from competitors about the variability of junior courses in particular over the course of the series and am looking at providing some more useful guidance for organisers/planners of SOUL series events for next year. I'll put this on another thread now for feedback.

Re: EUOC Big Weekend 2013
Hope the women's ultravet course is a bit longer and more challenging than this year's -
Edinburgh is an awfully long way to come for a race that took just over 10 mins to complete.
Just because old women slow down it doesn't mean they are incapable of crossing roads!

denbydale - we've taken into account feedback from last year and, partly thanks to a completely new start/finish area, this years vets courses should be a bit more challenging!

Re: EUOC Big Weekend 2013
The details say course F is Ultra Vets, which was the same as this year. Most of them are happy running the same course as the Super Vets, but just being scored separately

Re: EUOC Big Weekend 2013
Thanks for your comments concerning the courses, just to say the organiser (and planner) have received them and are currently discussing what might be done to ensure every bodies experience at the Big Weekend is great! We will keep you updated with our decision and update oentries as required.
In the meantime here are some photos from last years event to whet your appetite!

Yes! I have just found this thread on Nopesport and, as one of the women that you are talking about, I would like to give this my backing. Certainly none of us were very happy with last year's arrangement (even though it was me that won it in just over 10 mins

Re: EUOC Big Weekend 2013
Just to let everyone know, the decision has been made to change the Ultra veteran women to run course E. We hope this this will provide the challenge and enjoyment that these competitors are looking for!
