Many of you as I do recognise Orienteering as one of our 'tribes' in social media, whether than be Twitter, Linked in, Facebook or just forums like this.
I have been using social media heavily (mainly twitter, facebook and blogs etc) to raise the profile of the area of work I am in and am starting to feed some of that back into Walton Chasers.
It is starting to work and is all about increasing our profile particularly to a younger (ie under 35) audience.
Social media works best when there is cross pollination of ideas from various sectors. If anyone is interested I am speaking at a Built Environment Social Media Awards and Talks afternoon in London on Wednesday. The keynote is from Carlton Reid who will be talking all about Social Media in the cylcing world. Its only £15 to cover the costs and it will also be available live via some form of streaming.
