Some orienteers will have seen the pictures of the drawings I have made in the snow in the ski resort where I spend winter, which entertain the skiers and have earned me a free season lift ticket
Well..... the resort has agreed to supplying a second free ticket for an assistant. I just thought it might be worth asking whether there are any orienteers who would like to spend a winter in a ski resort? It would make a great gap year for the right person, or even 2 people, although it is unlikely you would be able to get to any events during the ski season.
It is hard work, for that read good training, just plodding around in the snow wearing snow shoes, and the proportion of time you would be able to spend skiing would be far higher than most ski resort jobs, as a lot of the work is done at night.

Re: Snow Art
Yeah, the jigsaw cashmere pullovers (womens) sold out fast, there is fantastic gear out there although it needs to be carefully looked after.
